It’s really wonderful to have the outside world acknowledge my enthusiasm for biotech, venture capital and all of the community building that comes with it. It can be a grind, but supporting the collective efforts of early stage companies and researchers towards translating science and engineering into treatments for patients is worth it. This isn’t about me, it’s about all of the wonderful scientists and founders I’ve been able to work with in my career. Brom and I have been grateful to be able to invest in such awesome people. Thanks for the award and accolade, BioSpace!

I was really surprised to receive this! Thanks to those who nominated me and to BioSpace for putting this effort together. I’m flattered to have such great company on this list.
